Fun Day

I went to my first quilt class today and it was lots of fun.  We learned the "One Block Wonder" pattern.

Class lasted about 4 hours and I have lots to finish here in the studio.  I'll post photos when I get a few of the blocks together.  I think this is going to be a pretty quilt.

The slump is over

I have been in a slump for the last year but I think I am finally over it.  Sometimes family and responsibilities seem to get in the way of things you want to do.  I'm ready to design some new patterns and make a few quilts for a friend ( working on a book).  I do have to make a wedding quilt for my niece and one for my granddaughter.  A nephew and his wife will be having a new baby this October and that means a new baby quilt.  I owe my sister a bed quilt and I promised a great friend a bed quilt.  Now all I have to do is plan every single minute for the next few months and maybe I can get caught up.  Organize all my time and supplies should get me started right.  Wish me luck with all of this.  I'll post photos of my progress.

My Shopping and sewing is almost done.

How is everyone coming along with their Christmas sewing??  I have made lots of gifts and have had a wonderful time working on everything.

The weather here is beginning to turn cold.  Looks like snow.

Getting ready to Sew

Wow - what a day yesterday ended up being.  I spent most of the day cleaning and sorting things in my office.  I think I finally have my work space ready for some major designing.  We did some remodeling about a month ago and it seems that my office is where everything gets stacked.  I think I need a lock for my door  :-)

 I'm off to the studio!  More later . . . . . . . . . . .

New Ideas a brewin!

We had beautiful weather here in NM today.  Warm and sunny.  I really wish the weather would turn cold so I can get in the mood to finish my Christmas shopping.  I have been busy finishing my Christmas projects.   I haven't even started the Holiday baking.

I spent Sunday morning designing a couple of new patterns that have been dancing around in my head for a while. I still need to add the finishing touches and test the written pattens to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. I'll post photos when I get something made.

We are expecting our second great grandson in January and I need to finish the baby quilt for my granddaughter, Jeanette.

Well back to work.  More later.........
